registers of baptism, marriage and burial were ordered to be kept
in 1538, although only 21 parishes in Somerset have registers
preserved from so early a date. The Record Office holds registers
for nearly all of Somerset's ancient parishes |

"Debt of Honour Register" is the Commission's database
listing the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces
who died during the two world wars and the 23,000 cemeteries,
memorials and other locations world-wide where they are commemorated.

Mormon Church. This is a very significant site, also known as
the LDS (Church of Latter Day Saints) in geneology circles it
holds many interesting research databases including the IGI (International
Geneological Index) and some parish records. All you have to is
register for a free account, highly recommended! |

those researching their families in the two counties, no matter
where they live. The Society is affiliated to the Federation of

site has the census's from 1841. It also has the civil records
along with aids to emigration of families to the U.S. I am not
a fan of this site. It offers DNA testing with results offered
online, I have not tried this. |

The Register
Office in the district of Bath and North East Somerset, England,
holds records of local births, marriages and deaths back to
the start of civil registration in 1837. Independent volunteers,
together with the county's Family History Societies are collaborating
with the local Registration Service to make the indexes to these
records freely searchable via the Internet
